After two days of intense competition at the U13 Regional Development Tournament in Sheffield, the North West team have finished runners up in the ten team national tournament.
Saturday saw the group stages, and after four competitive matches against teams from the East, South West, South East and West Midlands, the North West team finished runners up to the team from the East region in Pool A, whilst Pool B saw London finish first and East Midlands finish runners up.
With two teams progressing from both Pool A and Pool B, the North West team advanced to the semi-finals on Sunday where they overcame London to set up a re-match with the East region team, conquerors of the East Midlands, in the final. Alas, it wasn’t to be on this occasion, and the North West finished runners up to the team from the East region.
Congratulations to both Sean and Finlay on their achievement of representing the North West team at the Regional Development Tournament in Sheffield. The whole club is extremely proud of both of you.
In addition, congratulations must also go to Cheshire Wire coaches Mike Halpin (North West Head Coach) and Steve Welsh (North West Assistant Coach) for leading the U13 RDT team to their success.
