In front of a bouyant and partisan Wire following, Cheshire Wire U16s have reached the National Final of the Under 16 Premier League with a convincing win over the South Premier Champions, the Newham Youngbloods Crusaders at the Amaechi Basketball Centre in Manchester by a score of 83-51. The tie was practically over for Newham by the end of the first quarter as Wire built up a commanding lead of 24-7. In spite of their persistance, Newham were never able to get back into the game and as each quarter passed, Wire were able to extend their lead even further to eventually run out comfortable winners and set up a mouth-watering final against local rivals Manchester Magic.
