After two days of intense competition at the U13 Regional Development Tournament, held at the Regional Performance Centre in Manchester, the North West team have finished a creditable fifth in the ten team national tournament.

Saturday saw the group stages, and after four competitive matches against teams from the East Midlands, South West, South East and West Midlands, the North West team were extremely unlucky to finish third in Pool A after a three way tie with a record of 3 wins and 1 loss.

With only two teams progressing to the final four, the North West team were left to battle it out for 5th to 10th places on the Sunday. However, with three more wins against the North East, Yorkshire and the South, the North West team were able to secure a very well deserved overall fifth place (6 - 1 record) in the tournament. The eventual winners of the tournament were the East region.
